UNIVERSITY BASKETBALL

Practice of Team Begins Monday.--List of Candidates Retained on Squad.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Regular University basketball practice will begin next Monday night in the Gymnasium. Fewer candidates have been retained from the preliminary practice this year than heretofore in order to permit of more individual coaching.

Exhibition games are to be played with some of the strong athletic club teams in the vicinity of Boston before the regular intercollegiate schedule, which will probably begin a game against Cornell at Ithaca on December 22. A training table will be started at the Union before this game.

For the present, J. W. Gilles 2L. will have general charge of the candidates until a permanent coach can be secured.
