NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

An informal reception to the Freshman class was held last evening in the Living Room of the Union. R. S. Wallace '04, chairman of the Freshman Reception Committee, presided, and introduced the speakers. Major Henry L. Higginson h.'82, as president of the Union, described the purposes of the "House of Friendship," and Professor A. L. Lowell '77 spoke briefly on the opportunities of college life. After the addresses the men gathered round J. H. Densmore '04 at the piano and sang the University songs.

Rev. Henry Van Dyke, D.D., of Princeton University, will address the Graduate Club at its meeting in Phillips Brooks House on November 13. His subject will probably be "Robert Louis Stevenson."
