The Corporation has recently added to Soldiers Field 80,000 square feet of land lying along the unfinished street to the south of the old football field. Part of this land, together with a house standing upon it, was purchased by the Athletic Association last June with money from the gate receipts. The Association plans to continue the uncompleted street from North Harvard street to the Driveway. This work will be done this year, and, when finished, will greatly decrease the congestion of vehicles on North Harvard street on the days of the games. With the completion of the new roadway, Soldiers Field will be entirely surrounded by streets.
