There will be a meeting this evening at 7.45 o'clock in Holworthy 21 of all men interested in gymnastics. Officers for the Gymnastic Club will be elected and action will be taken on a challenge received from Columbia for an exhibition gymnastic meet to be held in Cambridge at a date to be chosen by the University team.
Last year Harvard was represented in no intercollegiate gymnastic meet of any kind, as there was not enough interest in this branch of athletics to warrant the formation of a team. The Columbia challenge will be considered with a view to the fact that if such a meet could be arranged, it would arouse interest in the intercollegiate gymnastic meet.
At present about ten men are practicing regularly in the Gymnasium under the direction of Mr. Dohs, but a larger number of candidates for the team is desired.
