The Rifle and Pistol Club will hold its first shoot for novice cups in rifle and revolver competition tonight in the baseball cage. The revolver shoot will start at 6.15 o'clock and will be followed at 8 by the rifle shoot. Hereafter these shoots will be held on Monday and Friday nights and at the end of six weeks a silver cup will be awarded in each event to the man winning the greatest number of weekly shoots. One score, made either on Monday or Friday nights, may be counted for the cup, provided that each contestant previously states which score he desires to count.
Plans are under way to hold three matches with Light Battery A of Boston, to take place alternatively in the Battery A Armory and in the Cage. It is expected that shoots will also be arranged later with Yale and Pennsylvania.
