The spring tennis tournament was won yesterday afternoon by G. A. Lyon, Jr., 1L., who defeated E. W. Leonard '03 in the final match 11-9, 6-4, 4-6, 6-0. Lyon was very quick in getting to the net where he won a great many points by skillful smashing and placing. His playing was hard and at times brilliant. Leonard played a back court game almost entirely and in the first three sets was fairly steady. The match was chiefly marked by a lack of volleying which was checked by constant net play. Both players showed the need of practice and Leonard especially showed lack of form.
