The following prizes have been awarded by the Faculty of Arts and Sciences:
The George B. Sohier Prize with the endowment of $250 to G. C. Hirst '02 for his thesis entitled, "Three Ideals of Liberty in English Letters of the Nineteenth Century."
The Sales Prize of $45 to J. F. Conlin for his translation in Spanish of Blanco White's "Sonnet on Night."
The Sargent Prize of $100 to S. C. Legh '04.
The Graduate Bowdoin Prize for excellence in Latin composition to J. H. Cole, a member of the Graduate School in 1900-01.
The Undergraduate Bowdoin Prize for excellence in Latin and Greek composition to D. P. Lockwood '03.
