The basketball team defeated Columbia last night by a score of 19 to 12. The game was an aggressive and spirited one, but comparatively few fouls were made. Columbia excelled in team work and passing, but the excellent work of Hanavan and Fosdick at guards prevented this from being successful. Harvard's familiarity with the floor gave an advantage which Columbia could not overcome. Smith's shooting of goals was brilliant and accurate. The line-up: The Score--Harvard, 19; Columbia, 12.
