James Hard Ropes, Assistant Professor of New Testament Criticism and Interpretation, has been elected principal of Phillips Andover Academy, by the trustees of the Academy, to succeed the late Rev. C. F. P. Bancroft. Professor Ropes is as yet undecided whether to accept the position or not.
