NEW HAVEN. Conn., October 1.--Yale defeated Tufts here today by a score of 34 to 6. The playing of the Yale team lacked snap but the interference was much improved so that Ward, Chadwick and Shevlin were able to make some long runs. Tufts scored on a quarterback kick.
