In order to give the candidates for the track team a rest from the mid-year examinations and the Boston College games and B. A. A. meet, there will be no regular training next week. Only the pole vault and weight candidates will be given regular daily exercise. The team this year promises to be at least as strong as last year's in every event except the half-mile and quarter-mile. The following list shows the point-winners in last spring's dual games who have returned to Harvard and Yale.

Luce '00, third place. Half-mile run--Harvard, S. H. Bush '01, third place; Yale, J. P. Adams '00, first place, 1m. 57 4-5s. W. D. Brennan '00 S., second place. Mile run--Harvard, DeL. P. White '01, third place. 120 yds. hurdles--Harvard, J. H. Converse, Jr., '02, third place; Yale, W. M. Fincke '01, S., second place. 220 yds. hurdles--Harvard, J. H. Converse, Jr., '02, first place, 25 3-5s. L. Warren '00, second place; J. W. Hallowell '01, third place. Running high jump--Harvard, C. M. Rotch '01, first place, 5 ft. 11 in.; A. N. Rice '00, tied for second place, 5 ft. 9 1-8 in. Running broad jump--Harvard, C. D. Daly '01, first place, 22 ft. 3 in. Shot--Harvard, H. J. Brown '02, first place, 39 ft. 9 1-2 in.; Yale, D. R. Francis '00, second place, 38 ft. 6 3-4 in.; R. B. Robertson '00, third place, 38 ft. Hammer--Harvard, W. A. Boal '00, first place, 130 ft. 7 in.; H. J. Brown '02, third place, 125 ft. 10 in. Pole vault--Yale, B. Johnson '00, second place; J. H. Hord '01, third place.

The ten Harvard point-winners who are now in College won last May five first, one second, five third places and a tie for second place, --a total of 32 3-4 points. The ten Yale veterans won three first, five second, and three third places, --a total of 28 points.
