The eleventh annual Harvard interscholastic tennis tournament was played on the Jarvis Field courts last Saturday as far as the semi-final round. The number of entries was considerably larger than last year, and the playing was, on the whole, far better than in former years, despite the high wind that was blowing all day.

In the semi-finals, to take place this morning at 10 o'clock, R. Leonard of Newton High will play I. C. Wright of Hopkinson, and D. Brannan of St. Mark's will play H. Hodge of Andover. The winners of these two matches will play the final round at 3 o'clock this afternoon.

The school championship lies between Newton High and St. Mark's, and will depend on the outcome of the matches to be played today. Following is the present standing of the schools: Newton High, 11; St. Mark's, 10; Andover, 7; Hopkinson, 7; Boston Latin, 3; Volkmann's, 2; Brown and Nichols, 1.
