Club Rowing.

The second of the annual races between the Weld and the Newell Boat Clubs will probably be held on Tuesday, May 28. Three crews, a senior, an intermediate, and a junior crew, will represent each club. Later, in the Metropolitan Regatta on June 17, each club hopes to enter several crews; and there is also a possibility of a race between the club crews and the Columbia second.

Now that the class races are over and the University squad is picked, there is an excellent opportunity for any one who wishes to learn, to come out and try. Both Vail and Donovan will have time to give attention to every one, and there are boats enough for five crews at each house. It is the pleasantest season of the year for rowing and the best for developing new men. One of the most encouraging features of the present system is that on the University squad now there are several men who never showed up until the club races last spring, and the training that any member of these crews will have should give him a very good chance for the eights in the fall, or for his class crew next spring. Every man who has any desire to row is urged to try for one of these crews.
