The entire lacrosse squad is now practicing on Soldiers Field. The condition of the ground has been improving, but the field is still too soft to give an opportunity for first class work.
The squad is divided into class squads from which men are being tried for the University team. The total number of candidates is eighty-eight; this number will not be cut down until after the class games. The Sophomores play the Freshmen on Saturday next, and the Seniors play the Juniors on the following Tuesday, April 9.
The University team will play its first game with the Crescent Athletic Club of Brooklyn on April 27 on Soldiers Field.
