New Shells Built This Year

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Three new eight-oared shells were ordered this year by the Athletic Association, two to be built by Robinson, the English boat-builder, and one by Davy. Robinson has been working here five months, and in that time he has completed one of the shells ordered. He will have the other finished by the latter part of May. The measurements of the 1899 University boat were followed in building these shells, and they are of medium weight and rather stiff. Robinson has also done much work repairing and rigging old boats, and has built one single shell. Davy has just started work on the eight ordered from him, and it will be completed by the first of June.
