Arrangements have been completed for a dual track meet between the University of Pennsylvania and the University of California, to be held in Philadelphia next spring.
The debate between the University of Michigan and the University of Pennsylvania will be held in Philadelphia on March 9. The subject is: "Resolved, That the Foundation of Trusts should be opposed by Legislation."
During the Christmas recess the following members of the geological department attended the meeting of the Geological Society of America, at Washington, D. C.: Professor W. M. Davis, Dr. T. A. Jagar, J. B. Woodworth, Dr. R. A. Daly, J. M. Boutwell, A. W. Graban, and H. T. Burr. Professor Davis presented several papers and Messrs. Woodworth and Graban one each.
