The following figures are taken from the official report of illness in the University during the year 1899-1900. The classification of diseases has been more specific this year than formerly, though a number of less important diseases are here included under the head "miscellaneous" The total number of cases--4392--is more than fifty per cent larger than for the previous year, when the number was 2705. Every malady which was separately tabulated last year shows an increase.
The table gives the number of cases of the various diseases, arranged by months.
