Class Debating Trials.

At the Junior debating trial last night the following team was selected to debate with the Seniors: L. Bettman, A. Black, G. Clark and O. J. Campbell, alternate. The second team will be composed of the alternate, R. A. Deanand, A. J. Hammerslough.

Twenty-six men spoke at the first Freshman trial. The speaking as a whole was tairly good in delivery, but very weak in analysis and rebuttal, and almost entirely lacking in evidence. The following six men were retained for the second trial: C. L. Dillon, J. F. Dore C. S. Duke, S. L. Gibbs, S. J. Gilman and R. D. Lapham.

The final Sophomore trial will be held this evening at 7, in Harvard 1. At this trial the six men retained at the first trial will have a regular debate, each man making a main speech of eight minutes and a rebuttal speech of four minutes. The judges will be H. B. Kirtland 2L., C. P. McCarthy 1L. and G. S. Forbes '02.
