The lunch room in the basement of the Union opens today. All kinds of soft drinks and light lunches will be served, and siphons of seltzer and vichy will be filled. On week days the room will be open from 8 a. m. until 12.30 a. m.; on Sundays from 8 a. m. until 11 p. m.
At a recent joint meeting of the Trustees and House Committee of the Union, it was voted that University organizations, meeting in a private dining room, should be allowed to have beer and ale. Student organizations or clubs, and graduates, whether meeting as an organization or as individuals, may have, providing they occupy a private dining room, beer, ale, and claret.
These refreshments must be purchased by and addressed to an officer of the organization, or to the graduate, ordering them. If they are sent collect, they will not be received. The steward must always be notified in advance, when refreshments are to be sent to the Union.
