NEW HAVEN, Oct. 1.--The English athletes arrived in this city shortly after noon today and were met at the depot by Walter Camp and R. Sheldon, captain of the Yale track team. From the station they were taken in a special trolley car to Osborne Hall, where they were met by the members of the Yale track team and the athletic team managers. After seeing the campus and the various Yale buildings, they went to the grounds of the New Haven Country Club, where they were given a luncheon, at which Professors L. S. Woolsey, W. L.
