A party of teachers and students from Harvard, Yale and Amherst will meet at Westfield, Mass., next Saturday morning to examine the river terraces in that district. The Harvard party will leave Boston Friday afternoon, and will spend the night in Westfield. The excursion is meant primarily for students of geology, but is open to others interested in field work.
Those desiring to take part in the excursion will send their names to Professor W. M. Davis, 17 Francis avenue, Cambridge. The total expenses will be about seven dollars.
