FRESHMAN FOOTBALL

Candidates for the Freshman football team, to the number of 143; handed in their names yesterday evening. It was announced that the first practice would be next Monday afternoon, and that a practice game with the Cambridge Manual Training School would be played on Friday. J. L. Knox '98, who has had charge of the Freshman elevens for the past two years, was reappointed head coach.

There was the customary lack of heavy men for the line, only four men weighing more than 170 pounds. Following is a list of the candidates for the various positions, with their weights.--
