Second Nine Defeated by Exeter.

The Second nine was defeated at Exeter Saturday by the close score of 5 to 3. Exeter made three runs in the first inning, securing a lead which the Second nine was unable to overcome. Both Dudley and Coburn were tried in the box, the latter proving very effective, although lacking control. By poor work on the bases the second nine lost several chances to score.
