An unusual amount of interest has been shown this year in the Boylston Prize speaking contest, thirty-five or forty men having already submitted their names.

The speeches are to be limited to five minutes, and in cases where extracts or "cuttings" from speeches or any literary articles are used the entire originals, from which the selections are made, must be handed in with the written extracts.
