Newell-Weld Regatta.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Newell and Weld clubs have changed the date of their regatta from May 30 to May 29. Three crews will be entered from each club: the senior, junior and intermediate eights. The race will be over the regular course, but the distance, instead of being one mile and a half, as in former years, will be lengthened to one and seven eighths miles.

The two clubs have received an invitation from the Intercollegiate Rowing Association to send an eight, made up from members of both clubs, to row in a race which is to be held on the Schuylkill river at Philadelphia on May 30. Owing to the nearness of the date and the conflict with previous rowing plans of the two clubs it has been decided to decline the invitation.
