The B. A. A. and the Union Boat Club have now completed their arrangements for the school boy crews, whose rowing season will open today. There are now fourteen schools in the rowing league, an increase of two over last year, all of whom promise to send out plenty of candidates. Hopkinson and the Newton High School have entered for the first time. The B. A. A. will again employ Glendon and Hanlan will coach the union crews.
The races for the championship will be rowed during the last week in May in three trial heats, a heat for second crews and a final for both firsts and seconds. The dates will probably be the 28th, 29th and 31st, but they have not yet been definitely decided upon. The shield offered by the B. A. A. is now accompanied by a cup for the crew winning second place, to be held on the same terms.
