The following Class Day officers were elected yesterday by the Senior class:
First Marshal, J. Lawrence, Jr.
Second Marshal, W. T. Reid, Jr.
Third Marshal, C. D. Daly.
Secretary, H. B. Clark.
Orator, H. P. Chandler.
Poet, C. F. C. Arensberg.
Ivy Orator, F. R. DuBois.
Odist, J. G. Forbes.
Chorister, N. H. Pride.
It was voted to wear caps and gowns after the spring recess, 223 being in favor of the plan and 172 against it.
Out of 550 voters, 426 took part in the election though several ballots were thrown out on account of failure to comply with the conditions set for the election.
The voting for Marshals was as follows: Following are the votes cast for the other offices, for which there were only single nominations: Chandler, 385; Clark, 384, Arensberg, 378; DuBois, 376; Pride, 372; Forbes, 369. ELECTION OF COMMITTEES TODAY. The second part of the class election will be held today from 8 a. m. to 5 p. m. in the CRIMSON office, to choose the Class, Class Day, and Photographic Committees. The attention of voters is called to the following extract from the rules governing the election of Class Day officers: "Every elector shall vote for three candidates for each committee, indicating his preference for Chairman. The three candidates receiving the largest number of votes for each committee shall be declared elected. Of these three elected, that one receiving the highest number of votes for Chairman shall be the Chairman of the Committee. "Any ballot not containing three names for each committee will be thrown out." The final list of nominations for the committees is as follows: Class Committee.--C. C. Brayton, J. W. Hallowell, I. W. Kendall. Class Day Committee.--H. Blythe, H. W. French, G. A. Sawin. Photographic Committee.--B. M. Brownell, R. W. Cheney, R. Fincke, W. T. Foster, L. S. Jackson, H. W. Keene.
