YALE FRESHMEN

Play Harvard 1904 at New Haven Today. Roberts at Centre.

The Freshman eleven will play its last scheduled game of the season this afternoon with the Yale freshmen at New Haven. Both teams, although fairly well developed, fall short of the average freshman teams and the game, therefore, may hinge upon the ability of one team to take advantage of the faults of the other. Yale is stronger on end plays while Harvard excels on centre rushes since Roberts, the substitute centre on the University squad, has taken a place in the line. Only two games can be taken as a criterion of the relative strength of the teams. Harvard 1904 defeated the Brown second eleven by the score of 5 to 0, while Yale 1904 won from the same eleven by the score of 22 to 0. Harvard was defeated by Andover by the score of 11 to 0, while Yale lost to the same team by the score of 5 to 0. Now, however, little significance can be placed on these figures owing to the rapid development of both teams during the past two weeks.

The line-up will be as follows: Burgess, r. e.  l. e., Blount. Jones, r. t.  l. t., White. Shea, r. g.  l. g., O'Neil. Roberts, c.  c., Patterson. Robinson, l. g.  r. g., Johnson. Dodge, l. t.  r. t., Ingham. Hutchinson, l. e.  r. e., Benham. Marshall, q. b.  q. b., Winslow. Mackay, r. h. b.  l. h. b., Welton. Pruyn, l. h. b.  r. h. b., Evert. Meier, f. b.  f. b., Jennings.
