At the first reception to students, given by the ladies of the Faculty in Brooks House yesterday afternoon, over one hundred men were entertained. Mrs. Eliot, Mrs. Pickering and Mrs. Shaler received, and-in general-the ladies in charge of arrangements were the wives of the he deans of departments. Those who poured were Mrs. Briggs, Mrs. Goodale, Mrs. Wright and Miss Everett. President Eliot and several other members of the Faculty were present. It is planned to have different reception committees at each of the coming teas.
