The Radcliffe Curriculum

Considerable change has been made in the courses of instruction at Radcliffe for this year. In all, there are sixty new courses on the list, while forty-two of last year's have been omitted. The alterations for the most part are distributed very evenly through the various departments.

The classics have undergone little change except for the omission of Latin 11 and Latin 12. In Classical Philology, however, only one old course remains from last year. Seven new courses, including three by Mr. Goodwin have been added. Four new graduate courses in Economics will be offered in place of the one advanced course of last year. Important changes have also been made in the higher courses in Mathematics where eight have been omitted in favor of five new ones.

In all, there are 111 Harvard instructors offering courses in Radcliffe, which is an increase of ten over last year. Professors Paine, Smith, James, Marsh; G. T. Moore, Emerton, Wolff, Cunningham and Santayana, are among those who will not give their usual courses, and the additions include Professor Hall on Celestial Mechanics, Professor Davis, Professor Mark and Professor Warren. There are twenty-five new instructors.
