The Freshmen defeated the Powder Point School yesterday afternoon in an uninteresting game of seven and one-half innings, by the score of 9 to 0. With the exception of Fincke's wild throw to first in the second inning the fielding of the Freshmen was errorless. Only one single was made by the Powder Point School, while 1901 secured eleven hits and had fifteen stolen bases to their credit. Whittemore and Stickney pitched four innings apiece for the Freshmen, each striking out seven men.
The score of the game by innings follows:
Innings, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
1901, 2 0 2 5 0 0 0-9
The Freshmen have arranged to play Andover Saturday afternoon at three o'clock on Soldiers Field, instead of at Andover as was previously announced.
