The matches played in the Newton Indoor Tennis Tournament yesterday afternoon and evening bring the tournament down to the finals in the singles. The summary of the matches is as follows:
H. Ward 1900 beat J. Watkinson, 6-2, 6-2.
L. E. Ware '99 beat K. Horton, 5-6, 6-3, 6-0.
The finals between Ware and Ward will be played off today at 4 p. m.
In the doubles, M. D. Whitman '99, and E. R. Marvin '99 beat A. Codman '96 and H. Ward 1900, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
This afternoon at 3, E. M. Horton and H. Blanchard '98, will play Ware and Scudder; and H. McK. Jones and C. R. Henderson, Jr., will play Marvin and Whitman. The finals of the doubles will be played off in the evening.
