Professor Hill, of the English Department, who was this fall obliged to take a trip to Europe on account of illness in his family, has recently returned to Cambridge. He expects to give his courses as usual during the second half-year.
The beginning of this year marked the completion of Professor Hill's twenty-fifth year as an instructor in Harvard, and it was proposed that the English Department should give a dinner in his honor on his return. The dinner, which is to be entirely private and informal, is to be given at one of the Boston clubs on Thursday, February 10.
