This year, more than ever, an effort has been made to put the bicycle team on a firm basis and the 25 men in strict training with the squad shows that an unusual amount of interest is being taken in this branch of athletics.
At present the daily work consists of distance riding on the Charles River track. This will be kept up a week longer to develop endurance, when sprinting will be taken up. In addition to the track work the squad will be given plenty of racing practice in weekly meetings on local tracks.
The material as a whole is very good. Of the new men Harbeck and MacKaye, both Freshmen, have developed well and will be valuable additions to the team. Hewitt, Wood, Baker and White of last year's team are all doing good work.
F. S. Elliot L. S. is now doing the coaching but will be relieved this week when a regular coach will be appointed.
Any men who have delayed coming out with the squad are urged to do so at once.
