Northfield Conference.

A meeting to organize a delegation for Northfield was held last night in Holden chapel. The following men who have attended former conferences spoke:

F. S. Bayley '98, E. W. Cutting '98, E. W. Capen '97, J. H. Scattergood '97, G. A. Goodrich '99, H. S. Stanley '97, R. C. Thomas '96 and G. Gleason '97.

The World's Student Conference will be help at Northfield, Mass. from June 25 to July 4, 1897. All the regular departments of the conference will be continued; the Bible classes, the conferences on association work and the "Round Top" meetings will be under the leadership of men who will combine the experience of previous conferences in their efforts to make these departments more effective than ever. Although the complete programme cannot be announced at this early date, the most representative group of speakers that has ever met on the Northfield platform is already assured. It includes President Patton of Princeton, Rev. Henry Van Dyke, New York City, Rev. Alex. McKenzie of Cambridge, Rev. A. T. Schauffler of New York, and D. L. Moody.

Perfect arrangements will be offered for athletic sports to which every afternoon will be given up.

Board and lodging, together with the registration fee make the entire expense for the conference $17.

Last year Harvard sent a delegation of twenty-one men and this number was exceeded by Cornell, Princeton and Yale, the latter university sending ninety men. This year at least forty men should make up the Harvard delegation. Names of those men who expect to attend should be sent to G. Gleason, 25 Stoughton.
