Mr. J. C. Ropes calls the attention of persons who mean to compete for this prize to on article entitled "Napoleon on Himself," to be found in the January number of the Nineteenth Century. This article contains some hitherto unpublished statements, made by Napoleon on the subject of the affair of the Duc D' Enghien. The prize of $150 is offered by Mr. Ropes for the best essay upon "The execution of the Duc d'Enghien.
