The monthly report of the Harvard Dining Association shows that the weekly price is now $4.10, a reduction of 0.13. This is a very creditable showing considering the fact that the prices of staples have advanced forty per cent.
A new system will be put into use during the vacation from Dec. 23, to Jan. 5. Every man will be required to have a ticket which must be shown at the door at every meal-time. Should men wish to bring visitors to meals it will be necessary to obtain additional tickets at the office.
A portrait of Theodore Parkman, who was killed at Whitehall, N. C., on Dec. 11, 1862, will shortly be hung in Memorial Hall. It is the gift of Mrs. Wm. S. Carter of Jamaica Plain, a descendant of Mr. Parkman.
