In order to carry on more publicly the work of appointing suitable members of the University or graduates to positions they desire, an appointment committee has been organized, consisting of a representative of each department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Professor J. W. White is chairman, and Mr. Hurlbut, secretary. The committee keeps lists of those who wish employment or to be transferred to other positions. This is the work begun by Mr. Bolles, and carred on informally since his death.
