The fall practice of the Weld Freshman eights ended yesterday in a race between the crews captained by Locke and Hart, both of which had previously beaten Blake's eight. The course was down stream about a mile and a half, the finish being just above the Boylston street bridge, Locke's crew winning by about a length and a quarter.
