THE ELEVEN.

This afternoon the 'Varsity will have their last practice of the year on Soldiers Field. No hard work will be indulged in, but signals will be run through, in order to keep the men strictly in trim for Saturday's game. The whole squad consisting of all the men who have played on the first or second elevens will then leave the square at 4 o'clock to take the 4.45 train for Philadelphia. The following men will be taken: Cabot, Richardson, Bull, Moulton, Graydon, Lewis, Stoddard, Curtis, Swain, Donald, Mills, Wheeler, Sargent '99, Gray, Litting, Lee, Bouve, Haskell, Shaw, Boal, Sargent 1900, Trainer, Doucette, Burden, Hoague, Garrison, Cochrane, Maguire, Dibblee, Warren, Parker, Sawin, Sullivan, Cozzens, Livermore, Gierasch, Hanavan, Haughton, Wadsworth.

Arriving in Philadelphia Friday, the team will go at once to the Aldine Hotel where they will remain until the game. Friday afternoon will probably be spent in light signal work on the Pennsylvania field, merely for the purpose of warming up the men.

The last hard practice yesterday was less encouraging than any since the Yale game. A good deal of time was devoted to the usual routine of signal practice, after which the 'Varsity lined up with the second for twenty minutes of fairly hard football. All of the 'Varsity players with the exception of Cabot, Warren and Sawin were out again, and entered into the play. It now seems very doubtful whether Cabot and Warren will have recovered sufficiently to permit their playing Saturday. Swain is fast recovering from his injury, but will hardly be in proper from for the game, so that Wheeler will probably take his place.

Mills and Haughton were again tried at fullback and tackle respectively, according to the plan developed, and both demonstrated that the team is strengthened by the change. They will probably play those positions next Saturday, alternating, of course, on the offensive.

Dibblee showed his usual form in running, while his dodging in spite of a lame ankle was excellent. Toward the end of the practice, however, his limp became more and more pronounced and Sullivan was substituted in his place.

The 'Varsity scored only once, and that on a goal from the field by Haughton. As a whole the practice disclosed the same listless tendency of the team to play up hill football at times, even against the weaker second's line.
