The tie between H. W. Brown, L. S., and R. B. Sprague, L. S., for sixteenth place in the preliminary round of the University golf championship tournament, was played off yesterday. Brown won by a score of 102 to 107.

In the match between J. G. Averell '99 and M. E. Jenkins L. S., in the first round of the championship tournament, the latter won three up and two to play.

The committee would like to have all of the matches played off by Saturday night instead of Monday night.
