At a meeting of the Harvard Classical Club held in Wadsworth House on Oct. 27th, the following resolutions were adopted:
"Whereas, It has pleased God to take from our number Professors George Martin Lane and Frederic DeForest Allen, therefore be it.
"Resolved, That we, the Classical Club of Harvard University, express our deep sense of personal loss in this bereavement and our sympathy with the families of the deceased.
"Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the families of the deceased, and inserted in the CRIMSON."
Col. T. W. Higginson and F. Dobyns '98 will speak at the Democratic Rally in Brattle Hall at 8 o'clock this evening. Dr. William Everett, of the class of '59, Democratic candidate for governor, is to address the meeting. Seats will be reserved for Harvard men.
