The first rehearsal of the Harvard Band, held yesterday afternoon, was very successful. Sixteen men were present and several pieces were tried. About a dozen more men have signified their intention of joining. H. L. Stone 1901, is acting as leader. More bass and reed instruments are needed.

For the present two rehearsals a week will be held in L. S. S. 1. The next rehearsal will be on Thursday afternoon. It is hoped that the band will be able to play at the Cornell game next Saturday, and at the Yale game on November 13th.
