BOSTON, June 9.- At the 29th annual commencement of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology President Francis A. Walker conferred upon 188 candidates the degree of Bachelor of Science. Six of those thus honored were women.

Augustus Jesse Bowie performed the remarkable feat of obtaining a degree from each of the departments of mechanical and electrical engineering.
