Harvard Loses to Williams.

Inability to hit the ball, together with their costly errors, lost Harvard the game with Williams at Williamstown last Saturday.

For Harvard, Dean played the best game. Rand made a wonderful catch of a low liner. Scannell caught a good game and Haughton pitched good ball, but was supported poorly at times.

For Williams, the work of Ross was fine. Captain Lewis pitched magnificently, and Ashton, Goodrich and Doughtly carried off the fielding honors.

Harvard scored her only run in the second inning, when Rand reached first on Street's error, advanced to third on Clarkson's hit, and scored on a passed ball by Ross. The only other scoring was done in the eighth inning, when Williams made two runs. Henry started out with a two-bagger and Street reached first on an error by Hayes. After Lewis had fouled out to Scannell, Street feinted and drew a throw, Henry scoring and Street reaching second. Heffernan bunted and was out, but Street scored on a wild throw to third.

The score was as follows:-
