Today on Soldiers Field at 4 o'clock the '98 Baseball Team plays the '99 Team in the first game of the interclass series. The Sophomores have only one man, Goodridge, the captain, who played on the team last year. Most of last year's nine are either with the 'Varsity or College Nine. The College nine, especially, deprives '98 of many valuable players, as its infield is composed entirely of '98 men. The Freshmen have a good battery and are fielding well. Their batting is also good, which is due in great part to Garrison's careful and systematic coaching. Mason will umpire the game. The batting order of the teams is:
'98. '99.
Goodridge, l.f. 2b., Thompson.
Abbott, c.f. r.f., Lynch.
Foster, 2b. l.f., Morse.
Adams, s.s. c., Davis.
Burrage, c. s.s., Mills.
Sterling, 3b. 3b., Galbraith.
Davis, 1b. 1b., Sherwin.
Kimball, r.f. c.f., Sears.
Slade, p. p., Mains.
