The Hudson River at Poughkeepsie has been finally selected as the course for the intercollegiate regatta. This decision was unanimously reached at a meeting held at the University Athletic Club in New York, Saturday evening, at which Guy Richards represented Columbia, Dean White, Cornell, and Mr. Reath, Pennsylvania. Mr. Watson was unable to attend, but communicated his approval by telephone.
This satisfactory arrangement is due almost entirely to the energy of Mr. Richards who has secured the introduction and partial passage in Congress of the bill providing for a clear course on the days of such regattas.
The programme calls for a race between the Freshman crews on Wednesday, June 24, and for the university race on Friday, June 26.
