Lacrosse.

Fast Day morning the Harvard and the Cambridge lacrosse teams played a game on Jarvis. The Cambridge team appearing with only nine men, Wells and Davis of the Harvard team filled the vacant places. Aside from good passing by the defence, the University play was straggling. The first goal was won by Harvard in twenty minutes. This goal was, however, a scratch, kicked through by the Cambridge point. The Cambridge team scored its first goal just before the end of the first half. By mutual agreement the time of the second half was shortened to ten minutes. Cambridge won its second goal in one or two minutes, and for a time Harvard seemed beaten, but in the last few minutes Harvard braced to the work and about five minutes before time was called scored a second goal, tieing the score. Harvard's play in the second half improved considerably, especially in the attack. Davidson and Fowle passed well throughout the game; on the whole, however, the play on both sides was not good.

The Harvard team was made up as follows: Goal, Drake; point, Naumberg; cover-point, Pulsifer; 1st, 2nd, 3d defence field, Griswold, Griffing, Towle; 1st home, Thorndike; 2nd home, Hughes; 1st and 2nd attack field, Kilvert and Davidson; cetre, Rourke.
