Billings Professorship at Yale.
The Yale faculty states that there will some time elapse before the new Billings professorship of $70,000 in English literature will be filled. Three prominent literary students are named for the place-Richard Burton, literary editor of the Hartford Courant; Charles Dudley Warner, and Dr. William Lyon Phelps, instructor in English at Yale. This will be the leading chair in literature at Yale.
