Mr. Melville's Lecture.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

George W. Melville, engineer in chief of the United States Navy, will deliver a lecture under the auspices of the Engineering Society on "The Relation of Engineering Schools of the State to the State and the Duty of the State to the Schools" at 4.30 in Sever 11. The lecture will be open to members of the University only. The door will not be open until shortly before 4.30.

Two years ago M. Melville gave at Harvard a very interesting account of the Arctic expedition of the "Jeanette," of which he was the only surviving officer. It is quite likely that in the lecture this afternoon he will speak in continuation of his former address.
